Thanks guys for stopping by and sharing your thoughts!

@Baker - So true. The present moment is always the best place to be focused.

@Duff - Excellent point...All beliefs are limiting by nature. I never really realized that. Thanks for breaking my limited belief about beliefs :)

@Mars Dorian - "concentrate on your destiny." Wise, wise words my friend.

@Amy - I love that you played with my food metaphor there. Awesome. So glad you liked it.

Please stop by again, guys!

This is so cool! I stick to Byron Katie and Self Coaching 101 most of the time but I'm always looking for new and creative ways to dismantle a limiting belief. "Food for thought." Thanks a million! - Amy

Haha, those are some kick-ass 51 points. Disconnect/not caring about it is my biggest strength. Who knows where it comes from - ignore your limiting beliefs and concentrate on your destiny.

Some of these solutions are better than others depending on the context (e.g. "make it hurt" usually doesn't work in my experience), and more detail is often needed to actually make a successful change, but overall this is a good brainstorm.

I will add though that all beliefs are limiting by definition. Some beliefs are clearly inaccurate or terribly disempowering, but even our more accurate and empowering beliefs are limiting--and there is no getting away from this. A map will always be a limited understanding of the territory.

Hey There!
These are really useful tips you share on this post about breaking a limited belief. I have found that in my life that keeping this simple, and not getting ahead of myself seems to help diminish that limited belief. It's all about dealing with it in the moment in arrives in the most simple and direct way possible. Great post!
