Meet Your Hostess

Chrissy Scivicque (pronounced “Civic”) is an award-winning freelance writer/editor with a passion for two things: food and helping others. As a Certified Nutritionist and an experienced career coach, she combined her two loves and started EatYourCareer.com, a website dedicated to helping people create the nourishing professional experiences they deserve.

A born entrepreneur, Chrissy launched The Executive Assistant’s Toolbox in 2007. This gave her a platform to promote her writing online while also sharing her passion for personal and professional development. In 2008, a start-up company called OfficeArrow purchased the website and hired her as Managing Editor, where she stayed for three years.

Currently, Chrissy works as a freelance writer for popular online outlets including WebMD and Mother Nature Network. Her writing on career-related topics is regularly featured on dozens of websites including Forbes, Monster, BNET, and Careerealism among others.

Chrissy also runs a successful coaching practice, where she helps individuals and teams make smart decisions and take meaningful action toward achieving career goals.

    Hey Chrissy!
You left a comment on my blog and I thought I’d come check out yours! I like your layout and your topics. I’m very interested in nutrition myself, although I am never going to study it as a profession. I just like to discover what gives me the most energy and what food is the best for my body:)

Keep up the good work and I hope this site becomes a success too!!
    Cheers

Oh, and Parker, if you like the layout the theme is called Headway. It’s super easy to customize and I haven’t done all that much. Thanks for the kind words.

Love the site, Chrissy. Can I use some of the articles in my college class I teach?? I will refer my students to your site. Great stuff from someone who really “gets” the current work environment.

I still say we need to collaborate on something…small conference/retreat of some kind????

Let’s do it. You are AWESOME!!!

    Hi Chrissy,
I stumbled upon your site through Ms. Career Girl which I see that you are already familiar with. I like your post, 20 Inconvenient Career Truths. I look forward to reading the rest of what your site has to offer.

    Hi Chrissy,

I like your site, and I like what you have to say. I saw your comment from erica.biz, and checked it. I agree with you, your career is important and taking the time to figure it out is instrumental in actualizing it!

I am one of those doing exactly that! Quit my job, went and saw a psychic, traveled the nation for 6 months to sight-see and landed half way across the nation in CA to start my new blogging career.

Keep up the good work, and I really look forward to seeing your site succeed.
